WHERE DOES CBD COME FROM?
CBD is extracted and separated from specific varieties of cannabis, often known as hemp. Chemically, CBD is one of 80+ chemical substances known as cannabinoids, which are all found in the cannabis plant.
Because our oils are extracted from hemp, you might hear this type of product referred to in a few ways: CBD-rich hemp oil, hemp derived CBD oil, CBD-rich cannabis oil, or hemp extracts. CBD oil is unique from typical hempseed oil sold cheaply in the grocery store because it utilizes all parts of the hemp plant, instead of only the seeds. This method of extraction produces a more nutritionally pure CBD oil.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF CBD?
Due to the legalities of the FDA we cannot state the benefits of CBD. We apologize for the inconvenience. However, we are assuming that since you are visiting PurfectCBD you have heard of some of those amazing benefits. If not we encourage you to Google ‘Benefits of CBD’.
CAN CBD GET ME HIGH?
No, it cannot. CBD is a phytocannabinoid that is non-psychotixic (it does not result in feelings of euphoria) and has a remarkably safe profile.
IS CBD THE SAME AS MEDICAL MARIJUANA?
No – Though the Industrial Hemp used to produce our CBD is a special variety of Cannabis Sativa, a relative of Marijuana, it does not contain the psychoactive properties of THC (as Marijuana does). And as such, making Hemp a much more practical source of Cannabinoids. In fact, the Hemp farmers we work closely with in Colorado, will put signs by the road that read “This is Hemp, it will not make you high, please leave our Hemp alone”. A Hemp plant and a Marijuana plant look exactly alike, a big disappointment to those who stole the farmers Hemp in hopes of getting high.

ARE YOU NEW TO CBD?
When beginning CBD, it’s best to start with the smallest dose possible. As with any new product, it is important to become familiar with how your body responds to CBD before increasing the dose. If you are new to CBD we encourage you to start with the lower dosages and gradually work your way up to the dose that works for you.
TYPICAL DOSING SIZES:
450mg or 15mg of CBD per serving
750mg or 25mg of CBD per serving
1,500mg or 50mg of CBD per serving
UNDERSTANDING CBD STRENGHTS.
CBD requires some trial and error to get the right amount for your body. With patience and practice, you should be able to get to that “happy point” within just a few days of working with it.
The right dose of CBD varies from person to person. Generally speaking, larger individuals may prefer a higher dose of CBD than smaller people. With CBD, you can easily scale up just a few milligrams at a time to meet your personal needs.
Which is better to take the liquid drops (tinctures) or the liquid gel caps (soft-gels)?
Tinctures are taken by dropping a few drops under your tongue. Dosage can range from 10mg-500mg, so it’s important that you do your own research on what strength you choose. The main downside of tinctures is it could get a bit messy if you happen to spill drops while using it. For some, using tinctures to drop a CBD extract on/under their tongue could seem a bit awkward, especially if you use it everyday.
Using soft-gels is probably the easiest way to add CBD to your life as a daily supplement. It is much easier to take than tinctures. Plus, if you take vitamins (or any other supplements), you can just add CBD soft-gels to your daily regimen.
How often should I use CBD?
Use CBD as needed. Some people use it only once a day, while others use it three times a day.

Consistency promotes and keeps in balance a healthy, functioning endocannabinoid system. As you reintroduce cannabinoids back into your system your body becomes more sensitive, you might start experiencing better, more prominent effects from cannabinoid products like ours.
The CBD in my bottle is starting to re-crystallize. What can I do about this?
Re-crystallization is normal with CBD products. We recommend shaking the bottle before each use to prevent re-crystallization and to evenly distribute the CBD throughout.
How do I store CBD? What is the shelf life?
It is best to keep CBD stored at room temperature, out of direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Exposure to heat or cold can cause the CBD to re-crystallize. We do not recommend refrigerating or leaving it in your car for a long period of time. When stored properly, CBD has a shelf life of about one year.
